Millions of iPhones are already being used in China, where techies have been hacking them for friends and colleagues for years. And with 140 million subscribers, China Unicom isn’t even the biggest telecom provider in China – China Mobile has 460 million. In comparison, Vodafone has about 300 million mobile subscribers worldwide. And just to be complete about it, Deutsche Telekom has about 150 million subscribers, including 34 million at T-Mobile in the USA. France Telecom (Orange) has about 125 million. Verizon — partly owned by Vodafone – has about 87 million US subscribers. AT&T has 80 million.
